My Story
With close to 10 years in clinical practice, the indomitable and resilient human spirit continue to inspire me. I believe that relational damage is the core of trauma and therefore, relationship is the core of healing trauma. The quality of the therapeutic alliance is crucial in helping you strengthen your inner compass, which in turn, helps you generate better solutions and coping strategies. Therapy to me is a mutual collaboration - where you embark on a personal journey of healing, discovery, and empowerment, with me as a co-traveller. My psychotherapy approach is integrative, eclectic and prioritizes your needs – oversimplistic or one dimensional theories may not fully embrace human complexities and thus, fall short in understanding human nature.

My clinical experience encompass postings in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health, establishing a Clinical Psychology Unit in Klang General Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry, and presently, private practice. This exposure has enabled me to work and relate well to a diverse spectrum of clients including adults, adolescents, children with special needs, hospital patients, refugees, stranded migrants and human trafficking victims. My specializations include Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders and Trauma-related Disorders.

Academically, I have lectured at UCSI University and currently supervise peer psychologists and Clinical Psychology trainees from HELP University.
I speak fluent English and Malay, and am conversant in Cantonese and Mandarin.
