My Story
I am currently a Senior Lecturer (Developmental Psychology) at Centre of Research in Psychology and Human Well-being, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, The National University of Malaysia and also a Deputy Director (Consultant Developmental Psychologist) at Specialist Unit of Psychological Wellbeing and Counseling (PKPK), The National University of Malaysia. My expertise is in developmental problems and delays; at-risk children and youth; family and parenting, conflict resolutions and management. I am also an Interpersonal Psychotherapist for mood related problems like depression.
Currently, I am active in giving training in child development, managing children behaviours, and parenting. I am also actively engage in humanitarian relief work under Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Team (MERCY Malaysia) and has involved in several missions; Earth-quake in Pidie-Jaya Acheh, Indonesia, Refugees Relief Team in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh, Flood Mission in Kelantan, Malaysia, and Flood Mission in Johor, Malaysia, and also leading a team for mental health and psychosocial support services for COVID-19 pandemic under PKPK UKM Bangi. I have been working closely with UNHCR Malaysia in providing training, psychological and counseling services to refugees and asylum in Malaysia.
I speak fluent Malay and English.
